Annual Camp Allocations 2006
1. Thank you all those sqns who have responded giving your preferred camp locations and dates. I will be working on the allocation in the next few days. In the meantime I have calculated the number of cadet places for each sqn. Although not an easy exercise I have allocated sqn numbers as a percentage of the total wing strength and the fact, at the moment, we only have a total of 176 cadet places for Kinloss and Boulmer.
2. However, it's not as gloomy as it looks as we will probably be offered an additional camp for week 8 (12-19 Aug) and week 9 (19-26 Aug) at RAF Cosford. Unfortunately it's for 40 male cadets only per week. Still it is an extra 80 cadet places.
3. In addition, the Wing is working on a Wing organised camp for week 7 (5-12 Aug) and week 8 (12-19 Aug) for 20 male cadets and 20 female for each week, a further 80 cadet places, at RMB Chivenor in Devon (yet to be confirmed). Chivenor has SAR helicopters as per Boulmer as well as VGS and numerous other activities.
