Introduction  

This is the first version of the Herts & Bucks Wing Adult Staff Training manual and is based on the work undertaken by the London & South East Region project. 

It is designed to be a handy reference for you to assist in your new role. It is yours to add information, annotate and generally refer to.  

The purpose of this document is to provide guidance on a number of matters. These include such essential items as Legal requirements, Insurance and Financial Controls as well as the Duty of Care.

The opportunity has also been taken to give further advice on Best Practice where appropriate and to update candidates on changes to Corps Regulations as well as the standards required of Herts & Bucks Wing staff and cadets.

In a forward looking organisation such as ours there is a constant need to keep up to date with the changes that are occurring within the Corps, our parent service and finally as a National Voluntary Youth Organisation. We also need to keep abreast of the changes in Legislation and Regulation that apply to us.
