Drugs and the CorpsProspective uniformed candidates are shown the following statement during their wing board: In
the Air Training Corps, solvent and drug abuse is not tolerated and can attract
disciplinary action including dismissal or administrative discharge. This summarises the Corps’ position on this issue regardless of the current relaxation of controls relating to Class C drugs. All staff have a duty to understand the implications of drug abuse and officers should update themselves regularly on these issues. HQAC provides clarity on this issue and states that uniformed staff should undertake a refresher course every three years. There are too many advisory agencies to list here but for the Corps the following are prime sources:
All offer advice packages and most will visit you and provide information to both cadets and staff. In addition to this Wing HQ holds a video training package and regularly provides update literature on the issue. |
