Your Skills Make a DifferenceThis page is for visitors to the Web page and gives information about ways in which our staff serve on Squadrons and how you may be able to help. There are four types of volunteers with the Air Cadets
VolunteerThere are 8,500 volunteers in the Air Cadets, most of whom have never served
in the RAF or any other service and they come from all walks of life, from
police officers, accountants milkmen.
What really counts in the
ATC is your enthusiasm, your willingness to lend a hand whenever and wherever
it's needed. Your ability to mix with teenagers and lead the way in all sorts of
situations, whether in a classroom, or on an adventure training weekend in the
mountains.
Civilian Committee
As a voluntary organisation
we look to local communities for support in many ways. You could help your local
Squadron by becoming a member of its Civilian Committee.
Other Ways to Help
Although the ATC is given considerable support from its parent service, the RAF,
many of its activities are self-funded. Fundraising is one of the vital roles
performed by the Civilian Committee. The ATC has Charity Status and if you would
like to make a contribution or sponsor an activity we would be delighted to hear
from you.
