The ATC might be for you.

You will be provided with the opportunity to fly in a variety of aircraft and receive training in  powered aircraft. On your first flight you will be offered to take control of the aircraft. Later you can progress towards going solo or obtaining your pilots licence. Taught by RAF pilots how to do aerobatics!!!

Learn how to handle and fire a rifle safely. Taught how to take care of yourself and others 'out in the wilds'. Taking part in Night exercises. Attend visits to RAF Stations.

Complete the Duke of Edinburgh Award at - Bronze, Silver or Gold.

Complete Ground Training on topics of how an aircraft flies. Learn to use a radio and help with one of the Squadron "Projects". Many Squadrons have Computers & Flight Simulators, Aero-modelling and Aircraft Recognition ; others build hovercraft and robots amongst their Projects. Cadets completing the Ground Training get awarded a BTEC (Intermediate) which many employers treat as a science CGSE at Grade "A-C"

Interested - Look at our page on Squadrons to find your nearest unit. You will be made welcome. The Squadron would be pleased to see your parent(s) to tell them what is involved. Why not come with a friend although we will be pleased to see you on your own.

You don't need any qualifications;

just be prepared to get involved and have a go.
