Organisational Structure of 

Herts & Bucks Wing ATC

The Commanding Officer is a Wing Commander who is a volunteer and has a commission in the Volunteer Reserve (Training) Branch of the Royal Air Force.

 

The Wing HQ's is at RAF Halton where there is a Squadron Leader who is full time with an Administrative Officer and part time typist.

 

Organisation at Wing Level is split between three Squadron Leaders (Senior Wing Staff Officers - SWSO) who are also volunteers and hold a commissions in the Volunteer Reserve (Training) Branch of the Royal Air Force. Each SWSO has responsibility for ten Squadrons plus a number of functional tasks.

 

In addition there a number of Flight Lieutenants who are Wing Staff Officers who who are also volunteers and hold a commissions in the Volunteer Reserve (Training) Branch of the Royal Air Force. Each WSO has responsibility for a functional tasks.
